Abstract Submission Guidelines
For the 3rd International Congress of Social Sciences (ICSS’25) organized by Ufuk University, abstract submissions are expected to comply with the following rules:
Content

Abstracts must clearly state the purpose, research problem, context, methodology, key findings, and conclusions of the study.

The abstract should provide a clear understanding of the presentation’s structure and its academic contribution.

Citations, unexplained abbreviations, or undefined terms should not be used in the abstract.
Length
-
Abstracts must be between 150–250 words (excluding keywords).
-
This word limit must be strictly followed.
Formatting

Font: Times New Roman
-
Font size: 12 pt
-
Line spacing: 1.5
-
Paragraph style: Block format without indentation, written as a single paragraph
-
Title: Capitalize the first letters of each word (e.g., Methodological Debates in Social Sciences)
Author Information
-
Full name and surname of all contributing authors must be listed.
-
Each author’s email address, institutional affiliation, and country should be provided on separate lines.
-
Author names should be formatted as follows:
1Author, A.A., 2Second Author, B.B., 3Third Author, C.C.
Category
-
Authors must select the most appropriate topic category from the areas listed on the Call for Papers page.
Keywords
-
Keywords should be listed at the end of the abstract.
-
Provide 3 to 5 keywords, written in lowercase, italicized, and separated by commas.
Example: violence, adolescence, digital media

Before submission, download the Abstract Template (available via link) and format your abstract accordingly.

All abstracts must be submitted through the Online Form on the Registration and Submission Page.

Do not alter the formatting style of the provided template.

The editorial committee may revise abstracts for clarity, grammar, or style. Authors will be contacted for approval in case of major changes.
Full Paper Submission Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit full papers for ICSS’25 should prepare their manuscripts according to the following guidelines:

Word count: Recommended length is between 3,000–7,000 words

Submission method: Online submission only (email submissions are not accepted)

Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

Structure and Headings

Title: Capitalized, bold
-
Author(s): Full name(s), institution, and email address

Abstract: 150–250 words, single paragraph including purpose, method, findings, and conclusions. No citations or undefined terms.

Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords, lowercase, separated by commas
Example: bullying, adolescence, game-based learning
Main Sections:

Introduction
Background, problem statement, purpose, significance, and research questions -
Method
Research design, participants or data sources, data collection tools and process, and analysis method -
Findings
Present findings that directly address research questions; use tables/figures where necessary; do not interpret results here -
Discussion
Interpret findings, compare with literature, highlight limitations and contributions -
Conclusion and Suggestions
Summarize key conclusions; provide concrete recommendations for practitioners and researchers; do not introduce new data -
References
Must be formatted according to APA 7 (7th Edition of the American Psychological Association)
Both in-text and reference list examples are available in the author guide
Tables and Figures

Must be numbered and titled
-
Each must be referenced in the text

Captions should be placed below tables/figures
Example:

Citations and References
All references must comply with APA 7 style. For examples of in-text citations and reference entries, refer to the APA Style Guide.

Download the Full Paper Template before submitting your manuscript and ensure it is formatted accordingly. The editorial committee may revise for clarity and grammar, but major changes will be discussed with the author.
Presentation Guidelines
Presentation Duration and Format

Each oral presentation is allocated 15 minutes
-
Presentations should include no more than 10 slides
-
Presentations must be delivered in the language of the accepted abstract (Turkish or English)
-
Presentations may be conducted in-person or online
-
Visuals should be clear, readable, and follow academic ethical standards
